Don't
let the thought of cold weather stop you from planning a MiG
flight in Russia this winter. The MiG-29 is an all-weather
jet and actually flies its highest in cold temperatures.
Winter is the perfect time to plan a flight to the edge of space
or schedule one of our new night flights.
That said, we strongly recommend adding an extra day or two to
any winter MiG adventure to allow for possible flight delays caused by
snow-covered runways.
Spending an extra day or two in Russia in the winter can greatly add to
the fun of your MiG adventure. It gives you a chance to go ice skating
next to Red Square, plan a tour of Stalin's Bunker, or see a Russian
hockey game. Our guide Marina can even arrange a vodka taste testing
tour at a local vodka factory.
If you'd like to fly a MiG in Russia this winter, call or email
Greg. Please keep in mind it can take 60 days to obtain the
necessary security clearance.
You don't have to take our word for it. You can see how much
fun it is to fly a MiG by checking out the latest MiG flyer photos on our website. Each
MiG adventure includes a disc of photos and
an edited video.
Incredible
Adventures now offers a new six gill shark adventure in Roatan with
Karl Stanley and his sub named Idabel. (For the geographically
challenged, Roatan is an island off of Honduras, known for its
coral reefs and incredible diving. Several US airlines offer direct
flights to Roatan.)
When Karl first contacted Incredible Adventures about working
together, we ordered an office copy of "A
View from Below", off Amazon. Shown at several
film festivals and produced by Rooftop
Pictures, the documentary tells the story of Karl and his
sub, portraying him as both a "maverick sub builder"
and "deep sea explorer".
If you love adventure like we do, we
think you'll enjoy this story of an adventurer and his pursuit
of a dream. It's good enough that a couple people on a certain
IA employee's holiday list might be finding a copy under the tree
this year. (Here's
where you can buy a copy.)
Of course, we think you'd enjoy meeting
Karl and taking a shark dive in Idabel even more. This new five
day, four night adventure for two sells for $5600 and includes
an incredible deep sea dive with six gill sharks, plus luxury
hotel accommodations, ground transfers, some meals and island
touring.
For more information, send
us an email or give us a call. You can also find great video
clips on our website.
Our next Bahamas shark diving adventure is set for Saturday,
October 15th. Make plans now to join SharkyJill in our shark
cage. Sheri
can give you all the details.

The same goes for this newsletter.

We Google ourselves all the time. It's how we check to make sure our website can be found easily
and how we confirm the ads we pay for are appearing where
they're supposed to. It's also how we've discovered some of the articles written about our company and our
adventurous clients.
Recently, one of our Google searches lead
us to the website of New York copywriter Logan
Leabo. There, we discovered three print ads for our
San Francisco shark dives that completely baffled us.
We had no idea why Logan Leabo's online portfolio contained
three great ads for our San Francisco shark dives. We'd
never heard of Logan Leabo and were sure we'd never hired
him to design full page shark ads for us. (We wish
we had the money to run full page shark ads!) Curious, we
picked up the phone and called the number on his website.
It seems that a couple of years ago, Logan attended grad
school in California. For one of his design projects, he
was required to pull a company name out of a hat and then
produce artwork for that company. Logan drew our name.
Apparently, we owe a "thank you" to the unknown
professor who put our name into that hat. We also thank
Logan Leabo for allowing us to share his great artwork with
others. (You can check out some of Logan's other work at
www.loganleabo.com.)
If you'd like to dive
with great white sharks at San Francisco's Farallon Islands
this year, give Sheri
a call at 800-644-7382.
September dates are sold out, but we still have space
on select weekends in October and November. Trips depart
from San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf. Cage dives are $875
and no experience is necessary. A limited number of topside
spots are offered at $375.

If you're attending this year's Burning
Man festival in Nevada, be sure to keep an eye out for
the Lady Monaco, an incredible art ship built, captained
and crewed by several members of our San Francisco
shark adventure team.
With a lot of help from others,
our very own Director of West Coast Shark Operations Greg Barron transformed
an old motor home into a magnificent ship that sails across
the desert.
Greg is a great guy to have
with you when you're traveling 25 miles offshore in search
of great whites. Not
only does he know a lot about sharks and boats and diving,
he can make or fix about anything.
