 The 2015 California shark diving season gets its start Saturday, October 3 and continues on
select weekend dates through November 14. Online booking is now
available through a new partnership with Zozi.
Cage divers pay
$825 and topside observers pay $475 for an all-day adventure that departs from San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf. Private charters are
available.
 1) BEST BOAT - You'll travel to the Farallones aboard the 65 ft Derek M Baylis, a very special luxury sailboat, custom-designed and
built to provide a safe, fast, comfortable and environmentally-friendly platform for offshore research and education. When she's not busy transporting
shark divers and shark researchers to the Farallones, the Baylis spends her days hosting corporate clients and VIP events.
 2) BIGGEST SHARKS - The
Farallones are home to one of the world's most significant white shark populations. Sharks that visit the Farallones are adults, so they are
huge.
3) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE - This will be our 10th shark
diving season at the Farallones. As a result, we know a whole lot about white sharks and where they are most likely to be spotted. Notebooks
filled with shark sighting data and white shark research take up an entire shelf in our Sarasota office.
4) CONVENIENCE & VALUE - Our cage diving price includes the use of a
wetsuit, hood, boots and gloves, so you don't have to waste valuable vacation time driving to and from a local dive shop to rent and return gear. Cage
divers do need to supply a snorkel mask, which can easily be packed in a suitcase or carry-on bag. Trips depart from a convenient location at San
Francisco's popular Fisherman's Wharf tourist destination.
5) COMPLIMENTARY CAMERA USE - We have several underwater cameras on the boat that you're welcome to borrow to take photos and video
clips throughout the day. A member of our shark team will upload all the trip photos and videos to a website, where they can be downloaded free
of charge.
6) GOOD FOOD & INCREDIBLE SERVICE - We
can't control the weather or the sharks, so we obsess over the things we CAN control...like onboard comfort, shark education, food, drinks and
customer service. We provide breakfast, lunch and snacks on board and tip the crew, so you don't have to.
7) NO DIVE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - A certified dive professional will teach you
all you need to know to cage dive with big sharks.
