The Nanchang CJ-6A aka The Chinese Yak
Experience air combat, Hollywood-style.
Pick your own enemy or we'll cast the role for you.
Either way, it's an incredible adventure
in the skies over California.
The action begins in a hangar in Burbank. After a pre-flight
briefing, you and your opponent will walk outside and strap into
the cockpits of two Nanchang CJ-6A aircraft. Before you know it,
you'll be shooting a scene for your very own World War II movie.
Our experienced stunt pilots will be in the plane with you as
you experience a series of air combat engagements. The bullets
aren't real but the fun sure is. (With a little luck and a lot
of skill, you'll avoid an imaginary death and live to make a sequel.)
The Nanchang CJ-6A is an impressive warbird trainer and was used
to train an entire generation of fighter pilots for the People's
Liberation Army of China. Before a young Chinese pilot could hope
to fly a MiG or Sukhoi, he had to first learn to fly and fight
in the CJ.
P.S. Please don't send us e-mails telling us the Nanchang CJ-6A
isn't really a Chinese Yak. We know that. (We also know that John
Wayne's name wasn't really John Wayne.) The planes are very similar
to Russian Yak-18s and were built with Yak instrument panels so
we're calling them Yaks. Consider it their Hollywood stage names.
