It's an incredible Hollywood Top Gun Adventure
near Los Angeles, California.
The year 1949 marked the starting point of a creative
collaboration between the Sokol Plant and the Design Bureau of
Artem Mikoyan. The first aircraft that resulted was the MiG-15,
designed by Mikoyan and Mikhail Gurvich. The MiG-15 was serially
produced in the Sokol Plant from 1949 to 1952. From 1950 to 1952,
the combat ability of the MiG-15 was tested in the
North Korean Sky. The jet proved to be one of the first successful
swept wing fighters and led to the development of the MiG-17
that challenged American fighters in the Vietnam war.

This full-day movie-making adventure begins at
Van Nuys Airport, near Los Angeles, where you'll meet your L-39
pilot and dress for your role as a fighter pilot. After a
safety briefing and review of the day's flight schedule, you'll
take off for Mojave Airport in the jet known as the Albatross.
The flight out to the desert is your all-important audition for
the role of MiG fighter pilot. It's a screen test designed to
make sure you have the right stuff to fly a MiG over Mojave. (Don't
worry. We're sure you'll do just fine. Our experienced stunt pilot
will coach you the whole way and have you looking like a star
on camera in no time.)

After a smooth landing at Mojave, you and your L-39
pilot will join Hollywood Top Gun pilot MigManDean in the MiG-15
hangar to begin preparing for the second scene in your Top Gunski
movie. The MiG-15 is a beast of an airplane that
requires a lot of effort from both pilots to get her ready to
fly. You'll climb into the MiG knowing what it must have been
like to get a MiG-15 ready to do battle in the skies
over Korea. Before you know it, you'll flying out over the desert
in a legendary MiG.
When you're ready to go again, you'll call "Action!" and get
back into the L-39 and return to Van Nuys. Our professional
movie-making team will then take all the day's footage and edit
it into a short production for you...your very own Top Gunski
Double Feature.
