Skydive Over Everest, Jump Off Eiger Two of the world's top BASE jumpers will teach you everything you need to know to jump off Switzerland's most famous mountain. Give them 30+ days and they'll have you standing on the edge of a mountain, prepared to make a solo leap you'll never forget. Dave Barlia has been BASE jumping for 20 years and was the first American to jump off The Eiger, a mountain in Switzerland's Bernese Alps. He was voted one of America's Top 50 Adventure Athletes. If you've seen a TV commercial featuring a daring jump, you've probably seen Dave. Barry Holubek is regarded as one of the world's top skydiving, BASE jumping and wingsuit instructors and currently teaches skydiving to the US Military's Special Forces. He's made over 12,000 skydives and 1000 BASE jumps. No prior skydiving experience is necessary. Dave and Barry can take you from first jump to BASE jump. But, be warned. This program isn't cheap and it isn't easy. Training could take 30 days or more, depending on your current level of experience and includes practice jumps from planes, balloons and bridges. The cost varies depending on the training locations chosen. If you'd like more information, let us know and we'll put you in touch with Dave and Barry. (See Dave jump in this YouTube clip.) Discovery Offers New All-Inclusive Cruise to Grand Bahama If you're looking for a fun and inexpensive way to get to the Bahamas for one of our tiger shark dive adventures, consider taking the Discovery Cruise boat from Ft Lauderdale to Freeport. The boat provides ferry service from Florida to the Bahamas every day but Wednesday. IA shark dive instructor Jillian Morris will be taking the boat to the Bahamas for our upcoming June 26th tiger shark adventure. If you'd like to join Jill in a shark cage, contact us ASAP. (Jillian was sorting through her photos and found this photo from a past tiger shark adventure.) Australian Man Hopes to Raise Ovarian Cancer Awareness to New Height by Flying MiG-29 to the Edge of Space In September, Colin McCallum will travel to Russia to fly a MiG-29 to the edge of space, hoping to raise awareness of ovarian cancer symptoms in the process. Colin lost "his soulmate" Pauline to the disease in 2009 and hopes to use his adventure to educate others about the disease. He's also working to raise funds for the hospital that cared for Pauline, the King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women in Perth Western. Join us in wishing him well success. Pauline's death at 41 is a reminder that life can be short. Don't put off living your dreams. If we can help make a dream adventure come true, let us know. How Diver "MacGyver" Greg is Spending His Summer IA's Director of West Coast Shark Ops Greg Barron can fix or build just about anything, which makes him the perfect guy to have along when you're 25 miles off the coast of San Francisco diving with great white sharks. This summer, he and several members of our white shark expedition team are busy building "The Frigate", an "art ship" to debut at Burning Man, an annual festival in Nevada. If anyone can transform an old RV into a tall ship that sails on land, it's our Greg. (If you're like to join Greg and Julia and the rest of IA's incredible shark team on a Great White Shark Adventure in San Francisco, contact us. White shark season in San Francisco runs from September 25 to November 13.) Remember...Father's Day is June 20th
