Cage Dive with the Incredible Crew of the Solmar V in August

If you've seen an incredible underwater photo of a white shark, it's a safe bet it was taken at Isla Guadalupe, where water visibility is often 100 ft or more. For more than a decade, the remote location roughly 165 miles off the coast of Ensenada, Mexico has been known as one of the best places in the entire world to cage dive with great white sharks.

One of the best ways to get to Isla Guadalupe is aboard the Solmar V. She and her crew pioneered shark diving at this very special spot and boast a 100% sighting success rate. The 112 ft luxury liveaboard accommodates up to 20 cage divers in two-person cabins.  She carries two surface cages and one deep-ocean cage, to insure an abundance of cage time for everyone.

Our Solmar V Isla Guadalupe great white shark adventures begin and end in San Diego, California. You'll meet the team at a designated hotel and board a private chartered motor coach for the short trip across the border to the dock. No dive experience is required, but a passport is necessary.  The $3679 per person price includes luxury accommodations, gourmet meals, all beverages (including alcohol) and Mexico's 16% VAT tax.  It's not too early to book for 2017!

San Francisco Shark Boat Gets Engine Upgrade

Our San Francisco great white shark season kicks off Saturday, October 1st.  This year, cage divers will get to the home of some of the world's biggest white sharks a little sooner, thanks to an engine upgrade on our California shark boat. The Derek M Baylis has always been a great platform for our shark adventures, but now the luxury sailing and research vessel is even faster under motor.  Getting to the Farallones earlier, and being able to leave the islands later, increases the amount of available cage time for shark divers.
