Good Things to Know About IA MiG Flights

Fly a MiG over Russia with Incredible Adventures.com

Contact Us Now to Schedule Your Spring or Summer Flying Adventure

Fly a MiG over Russia with Incredible Adventures1. You don't have to be a licensed pilot or in peak physical condition to fly a MiG over Russia. In most cases, you just need to be at least 18, fit comfortably in the plane and have your doctor's approval. If you have any questions regarding your ability to qualify medically or physically for a flight, let us know. We'll gladly provide you with a copy of our medical application form, together with a copy of the flight suit measurement form used to determine if you'll fit safely into the cockpit.

2. Our MiG-29 flights are not provided by the Russian military. You'll be flying with a highly experienced professional test pilot. You'll fly from the Nizhny Novgorod Aircraft Building Plant Sokol, located about a four-hour train ride from Moscow. Sokol is the only entity authorized by the Russian government to provide demonstration flights in MiG fighters to the general public. Once known as the Gorky Aircraft Plant, the factory has been manufacturing legendary aircraft for over 80 years. The facility's pilots are genuinely some of Russia's finest airmen. Think of it like going to Lockheed Martin to fly in an F-16 with one of their top test pilots.

3.You cannot fly a MiG-29 without first obtaining security clearance. Getting clearance is easy, but the application process requires a minimum of 60 days to complete. The 60-day time requirement is critical to remember when planning a MiG flying adventure. We always recommend scheduling your adventure and submitting a copy of your passport and security clearance form as far in advance of your desired flight date as possible.

4. The day of your flight, you can leave the photography to a professional and focus on savoring every moment of your incredible flight day. All MiG flight programs automatically include deluxe photos and ground video plus high-definition cockpit flight footage.  (Who doesn't want incredible photos and video?!) The only extra charge is for optional helmet-camera footage.

5. Flying a MiG over Russia is highly addictive. Don't say we didn't warn you. The good news is that when you return to fly a second time (notice we said "when" and not "if"), we'll offer you a "frequent flyer" discount.
