Q: Are there any physical requirements for flying?
A: Flyers should be in good health and no taller than 6’6” and no heavier than 250 lbs.
Q: Do you offer gift certificates for California Sky School?
A: Yes. An extreme flying lesson makes a great gift!
Q: Can you accommodate a group of flyers?
A: Yes. We have multiple aircraft and several highly-qualified flight instructors. Aircraft can be relocated for special events.
Q: Do I have to be at least 18 to fly?
A: No. Flight training can begin at any age, but participants must be deemed mature enough by our pilot to understand and follow safety instructions. Anyone under 18 must be pre-approved to fly by one of our flight instructors and accompanied to the airfield by an adult or guardian.
Q: Will I get to fly the plane even if I don't have a Pilot's License?
A: Yes, you will get to fly. You don't need a Pilot's License to learn aerobatics. You will be controlling the plane for up to 80% of the time. Your instructor, who will be sitting behind you, will keep you out of trouble while coaching you through every maneuver.
Q: I have never been in a small plane before. Does this matter?
A: No. Even if you've never flown in a small plane before, we know you'll have an incredible time. Remember, it's YOUR adventure. If you love roller coasters and want to experience stomach-turning rolls and loops, you can. If you would be happier with a gentle flight, all you have to do is say so. We specialize in making a novice flyer feel like a pro...and an experienced pilot a better flyer. Each flight is tailored to your level of flight experience, desire and comfort.
