San Francisco Shark Dives Conducted Under A Sanctuary Permit

When you cage dive with the big sharks of San Francisco, you're helping to support ongoing white shark population research within the Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary. Shark sighting data is carefully collected throughout each expedition and then provided to the Sanctuary at the end of each viewing season for detailed analysis. We record decoy encounters, predation events, decoy deployment times, weather and sea conditions, plus make note of other wildlife observations. Considered one of the most diverse and bountiful marine environments in the world, the Farallones have been called California's Galapagos.
