Special Halloween Expedition Added to Dive Schedule

San Francisco shark divers travel to the Farallones aboard the Derek M Baylis. The Baylis is a 65 ft eco-friendly powered sailboat, custom built for offshore research and education. This season, our shark boat will depart from Marina Bay Yacht Harbor in Richmond.

Marina Bay Yacht Harbor (aka "Richmond Marina") is located in San Francisco's East Bay, roughly 30 minutes from San Francisco and Oakland airports and 15 minutes from Berkeley. Relocating to Richmond Marina means easier parking for shark divers and a greater selection of nearby hotels.

Our 2020 San Francisco shark diving season begins Saturday, September 26 and continues on select dates through November. Trip capacity is limited so advance booking is recommended.

We just added a special October 31 Halloween-themed shark trip to our dive schedule. Face coverings will be required on all 2020 trips to the Farallones but on Halloween, shark divers will be asked to wear their scariest COVID mask, to help ward off any ghostly spirits. Early Native Americans believed the Farallon islands were haunted and called the islands the "Islands of the Dead". To 19th century Spanish mariners, they were "the Devil's Teeth" and the cause of countless shipwrecks. A prize will be awarded for the best mask.

Air Combat Available in Arizona

You Fly The Plane - No Experience Needed

Engage in aerial combat over Arizona. Flights are available now and can be arranged for individuals, pairs or small groups. An advanced air combat mission for one is $1670 with tax. You can skip the dogfighting and experience stomach churning aerobatics for $997.

Desert Dogfights take off from Williams-Gateway Airport near Phoenix and are available on select weekdays. Gift certificates and group discounts are available. No pilot's license is required to fly, but you must be at least 15 and under 6'6" and 250 pounds.

Discovery's Shark Week
