The Ultimate in Low Level Flying If you want to fly high, to the edge of space, then you go to Russia for a MiG-31 flight or Cape Town for a flight in the English Electric Lightning. If you want to fly low, as in deep beneath the sea, then you'll want to get yourself to the Bahamas this August. We're excited to announce the debut of The Super Aviator, a one-of-a-kind two-seat submersible designed to "fly" underwater, much the way a fixed wing aircraft would. The Super Aviator features the latest in underwater technology and allows you to witness the wonders of the ocean without getting wet. The Aviator is taking time out from her work with film crews and undersea explorers to travel to the Bahamas, so her owners, Sub Aviator Systems, LLC, can train a new crop of underwater pilots. For two weeks, she'll be based at Port Lucaya on Grand Bahama Island, near Freeport. A limited number of spots are available in the upcoming Bahamas SAS Flight School. The cost of the Sub Aviator Pilot program is $15,000 and covers three intense days of personalized training, multiple flights, support crew services and underwater video. During your training, you'll learn to command the sub pilot past shipwrecks, along delicate reefs and more. An introductory piloting course is also being offered that includes initial land training and a single "sea exploration" flight. The cost of the one day, one flight program is $4950. To view video of the Super Aviator in flight and see more great photos, visit our website. For more info on SAS Aviator Flight Training, call or email us today. Join SharkyJill in the Bahamas in July Our very own shark girl Jillian Morris will be leading another tiger shark adventure in the Bahamas July 19th. No diving experience is necessary to dive in crystal clear water with some very big tiger sharks and lemon sharks. Our shark cage floats just below the surface so you can snorkel or breathe air from our onboard hookah system. The cost is $875 for cage divers and $375 for topside viewers. From Wheelchair to Weightless Our flight was fabulous! We
had so much fun. Randy & I were a bit concerned about the
logistics of my wheelchair and special requirements but Ed and
the entire Z-G team
in Las Vegas went out of their way for us.... I loved it, thank
you for your assistance, We're definitely going again as soon as possible."

Sometimes a Nephew is a Good Thing to Have
Steve surprised his uncle
with the gift of a MiG
flight in Russia. The pair flew earlier this month and had a great
time. Here's an excerpt from an email Steve sent to us:
"The trip was great,
the pilots fantastic - really good guys, I was very impressed. The
cloud cover was a little disappointing for the view of the earth below
but still an out of this world experience.
My uncle couldn't believe it - that
was off the charts for him, literally. I think we all had a laugh
when the nurse had to ask him about his sheep on the farm to help him
relax for the blood pressure test before he flew!"
Thanks for Keeping an Old Plane Flying
Dan Gryder, the owner and pilot of "our"
DC-3 near Atlanta, publishes
his own email newsletter. Here's an excerpt from a recent edition that
we think is worth sharing:
"The gauges are old,
the airplane smells like hydraulic fluid on the inside, we have no air
conditioning and the controls are heavy. This is not an operation for
the refined. Why do they come? It's because the DC-3, like so many warbirds,
is rare and getting rarer by the day. The cost and supply of fuel and
oil and parts is going to be the final nail. The only way I can keep
my airplane going is through people willing to rent the old girl in
pursuit of some memories. So, for all of you who have flown it, my thanks
for keeping at least one old DC-3 alive. And, for those of you thinking
about trying it, I look forward to flying with you!"
