Adventure Company Joins the Military; New Adventures Give Civilians Taste of Military Training
Combat Mission 101 begins with a full day of pistol and carbine training on the facility's gun ranges. Day two is spent learning close quarter battle tactics and includes force on force training exercises and night ops. The final day is devoted to urban movement training, fast rope insertion training and planning and executing a combat mission.
"Participants will wear real military gear, fire real weapons and feel like they've stepped into the middle of the movie Blackhawk Down", said Jane Reifert, president of Incredible Adventures. "When the rocket propelled grenade simulator kicks in, they'll feel like they're in the middle of a real war. Those who spend three days training with our instructors will leave with a new respect for the men and women who protect our country. Plus, they'll have a lot of fun!"
In the past, the facility has been open only to military and law enforcement agencies. Instructors have trained clients from numerous foreign and domestic agencies, including the CIA, DEA, FBI, US Customs, US Army Special Ops and LAPD. The 734-acre urban ops training facility features 21 structures, including a 6000 square foot shoot house. Training props include two helicopters, a school bus and an airplane.
